THE BRIEF
The design challenge.
Demonstrate a mobile-friendly ethnicwear shopping experience that feels warm and distinctive while helping visitors understand silhouettes, sizing and what a sample product includes. This is a self-initiated concept, not a commissioned client project.
APPROACH
The creative direction.
- Set a saffron, oxblood and warm-cream visual direction inspired by the collection's colour story.
- Balance a generous editorial opening with a six-piece collection that is easy to browse.
- Keep product details, size selection and bag interactions within a shared accessible shopping flow.
- Make the concept status clear before visitors shop and at the point of demo checkout.
FEATURES
Explore the experience.
- Responsive six-product collection with category filters
- Product detail views with sample inclusions and care information
- Size selection, one-size accessories and a size guide
- Shopping bag with quantity changes, removal and subtotal
- Demo checkout confirmation with no payment or real order
- Clear route from the store concept to a NivoRaq project enquiry
DECISIONS
The decisions behind it.
- Product categories reflect the sample collection: sets, kurtas, sarees, separates and dresses.
- The rose saree and ivory dupatta use one-size information rather than implying standard apparel sizing.
- Product cards expose the price and product name directly; details are not hidden behind decorative interactions.
- Mobile collection browsing uses two columns and keeps visible exploration controls.
- Sample shipping and returns information is explicitly illustrative; no real merchant policies are asserted.
LIMITATIONS
What this concept demonstrates.
- VARNAM is a fictional brand and all products, prices and imagery are illustrative.
- The demo has no inventory, payment provider, order fulfilment or customer account system.
- No client endorsement, sales uplift, conversion result or artisan/manufacturing claim is made.
- Production work would require approved product photography, legal policies, stock data and merchant payment/shipping accounts.
